LASH EXTENSIONS

Includes Consultation and a Warming Eye Cleanse

Gradient Strip

Each eyelash is expertly and individually applied using only the highest quality lashes on the market in contrast to other methods.

Your new lashes will be perfectly applied, seamless and incredibly lightweight. I guarantee soft and lush lashes which look very natural.

I aim to maximise the time I have with you, so I would rather thoroughly consult with you, from the outset so that your expectations are met. I don’t believe in rushing through your service, as my aim is to have gorgeous looking clients who truly love the look and feel of their lash set, each time they leave my Boutique.

My own personal style does lean more toward the natural eyelash extension look, however if you are after a more dramatic cat eye flick etc,

I will aim to reach a compromise to secure the health and integrity of your natural eyelashes. It is imperative that we only apply light, individualised lashes which are not too weighted, since this is what damages your natural lashes long term, as does picking at them or pulling them out prematurely.

(My most recent Hybrid Set of Lash Extensions, my own unique style tends toward natural)

I must reiterate that eyelash extensions are bonded onto your individual natural lashes, so it is impossible to create a very full look if you have challenging eyelashes and if you do have quite sparse, short, fine or soft lashes - then it pays to see me as I am an experience and qualified Lash Artist.

I will work with you to find the most suitable lash extension set and if you have any concerns or questions -  we can discuss these at the consultation as part of your appointment.

Kerry’s Beauty Boutique guarantees:

  • No damage to your natural eyelashes

  • Your new lashes will look natural

  • Long lasting lashes

  • My Classic sets to last a minimum of 2 weeks and the Hybrid/Volumiser sets to last a minimum of 3 weeks under normal circumstances.

Please read through all the information below to better care for your new set of eye lash extensions.

  • I recommend to keep your lashes away from water for up to 48 hours afterwards to allow the lashes to cure.

  • There will be no refunds once the lashes are applied.

  • If the lashes fall out excessively within the first week, please contact me ASAP and I will book you in for a consultation within the next 7 days. Please bare in mind that this  is more likely to happen if aftercare instructions are not strictly followed.

  • If you have eye lash extensions which have been applied by another Lash Artist, you would need to book a Lash Removal & new full set of lashes (Service is available under book online) regardless of how many lash extensions you have remaining.

Longevity varies greatly from person to person and some of the variables include:

  • Your chosen set - Generally, the fuller the set, the longer your lashes will last. The guidelines are approximately 2 to 4+ weeks for the Classic sets and 3 to 4+ weeks for the Hybrid/Volume set.

  • Your natural lashes - The more porous your lashes, the better 'grab' they have to the glue/extensions; and hence, better longevity. Healthy lashes in great shape and texture can also increase longevity vs damaged and weak natural lashes.

  • Your aftercare - Please keep in mind there are many variables as to how long your lash set will last, for example if you suffer from hay fever, if you wear waterproof mascara (which I don't advise), if you sleep on your side or if you have generally weaker lashes this can all determine the longevity of your set. I generally find that in the summer months, due to heat and sweat,  lashes do not last as well so you will need to book in more regular infills.

If you have further questions or wish to find out more about the procedure, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

Consultation

I am passionate about the consultation part of my service and will discuss  some options with you and find out the desired look you want to achieve with your new extensions. The more information you can provide at your consultation the better. I do have a laminated reference sheet as a guide if you wish to view this.

You are welcome to bring along some pictures of your own to show me if you wish. Everybody has different shaped eyes, some are deeper set, smaller, larger and so this will determine the overall look we are trying to achieve, so remember even if you get the exact same lengths and sizes as your friend (and going to the same Lash Artist) this could still give you different results.

What Sizes Are Available?

The length of the extensions should be no more than 50% longer than your natural eyelashes at the most as heavier lashes weigh down and can over time, distort and damage your own hair follicle. As part of my consultation I will work with you to discuss the best fit for you and your lifestyle.

It is important to note -  using extensions that are too long for your natural lashes to support could result in breakage and long term damage.

Not only do lashes come in different diameters and lengths, they also come in different curls allowing me to fully customise your lashes according to your desired look.

If you want a more lifted, open eye look, you could go for a stronger curl. However if you have straight or downward pointing lashes, using a strong curl can limit the bond area which could result in poorer retention.

General FAQS

Do lash extensions ruin my natural lashes?

If your lash extensions are too heavy and not individually applied, then certainly your follicles will be damaged over time, this is why I advise in all cases to please seek a registered certified lash extension practitioner who is trained and licenced. If you have naturally weak or fine eyelashes, my advice is to have very light natural extensions applied so as not to weigh down your own lashes. If you have very long and thick eyelashes naturally then yours will be able to tolerate a heavier eyelash extension, however in all cases I must emphasise that I only apply fine, individual lashes which will not damage your own hair follicles. As tempting as it is, please do not pick or prematurely pull your lashes off as this over time will put stress on your hair follicles.

Is the procedure painful?

I aim to make the procedure comfortable and many of my clients fall asleep while getting their lashes applied. You will need to keep your eyes closed during the entire appointment to stop any fumes going into your eyes, while you lie down on a memory foam bed.

Please keep in mind that if you are heavily pregnant I will not be able to lift the bed to sit you upright, since the lashes need to be applied from a semi flat position with a pillow under your knees to support your lower back area.

How long does it take?

Your appointment can vary from 1 to 2 hours depending on the set you have chosen and how full you want your set of lashes to be.

Since I am a master stylist, my work is generally faster and more precise.

You will notice that my lash service menu has 3 different options based on how natural or glamorous you would like your lashes to be.

Post Appointment FAQ'S

Here are the answers to some of the questions you may have in regards to taking care of your new lashes.

What do I need to avoid after getting my lashes done?

Avoid steam and oil near your eyes, and stay away from extreme heat and water proof eye makeup. Never pull on your eyelash extensions, wash them daily and make sure you brush them gently as required with a disposable brush, in a downward rolling motion.

When and why do I need to get infills?

I recommend my clients have their lashes infilled every 2 - 3 weeks, as natural lashes go through a replenishing cycle. You will find your lashes will fall out gradually, looking less full as they shed.

The time between appointments depends on what suits you personally and how quickly your natural lashes shed, how well your retention is, how full you like them to look, and other externals factors such as the season, the weather and what activities you partake in. You'll find your lashes would probably last better in winter more so than summer.

If I don't want my extensions on anymore, can I remove them myself?

Please return to me and I will remove them for you safely and effectively. A removal is relatively quick, depending on how many lashes you have left. Make sure to keep your eyes closed and still during a removal, which should be painless.

Can I use lash serums such as Lilash or Revitalash with eyelash extensions?

Yes, it is fine to use lash serums that are applied onto your lashline (eyeliner brush) but avoid any lash conditioners that require you to apply directly onto your lashes (mascara wand) as they may contain oils and reduce the longevity of your lash extensions.

Revitalash is a product I use and endorse and can be purchased directly from my Online Store.

Some clients have found that lash serums actually helped their natural lashes grow, and it made their lash extensions last longer. Others however, reported that their eyes became sensitive from using lash serums and their eyes became very dry and itchy.

In my experience itchiness from lash growth serums are usually due to simply applying too much product.

Do's and Don'ts after Your Appointment

As your natural lashes grow in a replenishing cycle, your extensions will gradually fall out when your natural lashes shed. This constant process is inevitable, but by following these aftercare instructions, your beautiful new lashes can last longer, maximising the length of time required in between touch-ups.

  • Do not come into contact with water or steam for the first 48 hours after treatment.

  • Do not use oil-based products on your new lashes or around eye area. Always use OIL FREE makeup removers for taking off makeup, use cotton buds and work around the lashes. Opt for a lighter eye cream or even eye gel.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face and do not tug or pull your new lashes.

  • Mascara is optional but not at all recommended, please be aware to use lint free cotton to gently remove eye make up as I find this can prematurely pull them.

  • Tinting or perming is not recommended on top of your new lash extensions.

  • Washing your lashes with a foam wash is highly recommended to keep your eyes and lashes clean and healthy.
